Beck Chevrolet - About Us 

At Beck Chevrolet, family values and automotive excellence meet to provide an unparalleled car-buying and ownership experience. 

Beck Chevrolet's journey began over half a century ago, in the vibrant community of Tarrytown, New York. In 1950, Mr. Frank Beck Sr. laid the foundation of the dealership with a passion for cars and a commitment to exceptional service. The Beck family's legacy extends back to the days of World War II, where Mr. Beck Sr. served as the General Motors Tarrytown Assembly Plant as plant superintendent.  

In the early 1960's, fate brought Mr. Leon Geller to Beck Chevrolet's doors. Initially, he ventured from Manhattan to Yonkers, working with the dealership as an accountant, but soon found himself drawn to the world of automobiles. By January 1966, he joined the Beck Chevrolet ranks as Chief Financial Officer, marking the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership. 

Through the years, our dealership flourished under the guidance of Mr. Frank Beck Sr. and Mr. Leon Geller, until Mr. Beck's passing in the mid-seventies. It was then that Mr. Leon Geller assumed the role of partner alongside Mr. Frank Beck Jr., dedicating his commitment to their shared vision. In 1977, Mr. Leon Geller became the sole dealer principal and President of Beck Chevrolet.  

The next generation of Geller grew up amidst the hustle and bustle of our showroom floor. From the age of thirteen, current dealer principal Russell S. Geller immersed himself in every aspect of the business in his free time - working as a maintenance person, working in the shop as a technician, in the parts department as well as in the sales department and even the business office. After graduating from Tufts University with a BA Degree in Economics in 1988, he brought a fresh perspective and a wealth of knowledge to the table.  In 2018 Russell secured his MBA from Northwood University/Devos Business School and is a candidate for a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) while he currently researches and authors his doctoral dissertation. 

Over the years, Russell honed his skills across parts, service, and sales, while also expanding the dealership's reach to include Volvo and Saab. But it was not just about selling cars - Russell sought to redefine the automotive experience. By breaking free from traditional advertising methods, he transformed our dealership into a local institution, with the third generation - Melanie and Jason - stepping into the spotlight as beloved community figures as well as the dealership spokespeople. Allyson, wife to Russell and Mother to Melanie and Jason, is there to support all the Geller Family members.
